The Sudanese government denounced the move as a "fictitious government" established with utter disregard for the suffering inflicted upon the Sudanese people by the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF). Moreover, the government expressed strong disapproval of Kenya hosting the preparatory meetings for this parallel government, deeming it a violation of Sudan's sovereignty and contrary to the principles of the UN, AU, and IGAD.
