The National Democratic Party, NDP, has concluded its presidential primary election with Hon. Ada Fredrick Okwori emerging as the party’s consensus presidential candidate for the 2027 general election.
The primary was held today, Friday, 29th May 2026, at the 36 states including Abuja under the supervision of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in line with the Electoral Act 2022 and INEC guidelines.
Hon. Okwori’s emergence followed a unanimous endorsement during the direct primary consensus affirming the party’s unity and confidence in his capacity to lead Nigeria.
Speaking after the declaration, party officials described the process as transparent, peaceful, and a clear demonstration of internal democracy within the NDP.
The National Working Committee congratulates Hon. Ada Fredrick Okwori and calls on all party members, supporters, and Nigerians to rally behind the NDP as we mobilize for victory in 2027.
